TERMS OF ENGAGEMENT & STATUTORY DISCLOSURES
HOTGROUP operates with complete regulatory transparency in accordance with South African law, specifically the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA 25 of 2002) and the Consumer Protection Act (CPA 68 of 2008).
1. ECTA Section 43 Statutory Seller Disclosures
2. ECTA Section 44 Statutory 7-Day Cooling-Off Period
In terms of Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, you are entitled to cancel without reason and without penalty any transaction and any related credit agreement for the supply of goods within 7 (seven) days after the date of receipt of the goods.
The only charge that may be levied is the direct cost of returning the goods via registered courier. Hardware must be returned in original protective packaging with serial numbers intact to our Bloemfontein facility.
3. CPA Implied Warranty & HOTGROUP 24-Month Sovereign Guarantee
Under Sections 55 and 56 of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA 68 of 2008), all consumers have the right to receive goods that are reasonably suitable for the purposes for which they are generally intended, of good quality, in working order, and free of defects.
Beyond the statutory 6-month CPA window, HOTGROUP provides an extended 24-month manufacturer warranty on all HOTCORE active silicon modules against manufacturing and potting defects, environmental moisture ingress, and electronic component failure.
4. Agricultural Cooperative Trade Credit Terms
Where hardware is purchased using approved cooperative trade accounts (VKB, Kaap Agri, Senwes, GWK), settlement terms are governed by your individual cooperative member agreement. HOTGROUP reserves ownership of all uncommissioned hardware until the corresponding cooperative remittance advice has been certified.
